What is your favorite verse in the BIBLE and why?
Just wanted to see what people favorite verse is. Also wants I know there are people out there that do not believe the BIBLE but I ask you to be nice. Please no hateful or quoting other religion’s books. Please be respectful. Is that too much to ask?
My favorite verse in the BIBLE is 1 John 3:16 “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.”
This verse talks about how we should follow JESUS in what we do for people. This is not just a physical life but our time, our energy to help people and even our money. It goes on to say in Verse 17-20 “If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. “It is more than our physical life we need to lay down to help our brothers.
I think if both Christians and non Christians would take this verse to heart, the world would be a better place. Thank you for asking the question.
